Psalm 119:49-53 “Remember the word to Your servant, upon which You have caused me to hope. This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your word has given me life. The proud have me in great derision, yet I do not turn aside from Your law. I remembered Your judgments of old, O Lord, and have comforted myself. Indignation has taken hold of me because of the wicked, who forsake Your law.”
Leader, we are venturing on precarious ground when we trust in circumstances or people to give us hope. Stability is only found in something unchanging, something that has stood the test of time without wavering. I bless you with building a bank of promises from the One who is unchanging and consistent. I bless you with finding and treasuring the promises from His word, but also those which He shares with you personally. May they comfort you in unfriendly times. I bless you with increased awareness of the lot and influence of those who scorn God’s word and His principles. I bless you with your experience of God’s faithfulness adding to the melody of your journey’s song. I bless you with making that which is blessed in and by heaven, part of your being and behaviour.
