Culture of honour

Proverbs 17:4,9 An evildoer gives heed to false lips; a liar listens eagerly to a spiteful tongue. He who covers a transgression seeks love, but he who repeats a matter separates friends.

culture-of-honour.jpgLeader, I bless you with raising the bar of what you allow yourself to listen to and what you allow to be discussed when you are within earshot. In a culture bending backwards for ‘anything goes’ super tolerance, the door has been opened for the worst side of humankind to find a stage in a play with a plot firmly opposing human value and dignity. I bless you with boldness as you set records straight when you know the truth about a matter, without fear of spiteful (spite-fool…) retaliation. I bless you with gaining a reputation as someone whose words are worth listening to because they are truthful and kind, wise and uplifting. May your conduct be a catalyst for reconciliation rather than dissonance.

Proverbs 17:14,27 The beginning of strife is like releasing water; therefore stop contention before a quarrel starts. He who has knowledge spares his words, and a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.
