Proverbs 16:18-19 Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
Leader, the puffing up of one’s own ego suffocates any sense of proportion, the value of others, and fresh and wise direction. I bless you with constructive engagements and decision-making, made even more fruitful because they are free from the contagion of conceit. I bless you with never running the risk of God having to save you and those around you from your arrogant heart by bringing it low through ruinous circumstances. Contrary to what society propounds, may your splendour be established through your humility, a true God-endorsed valuation of yourself in relation to that same value of others.
Proverbs 18:12 Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty, and before honor is humility.
