Blessing Leaders

Psalm 119:57-60 “You are my portion, O Lord; I have said that I would keep Your words. I entreated Your favour with my whole heart; be merciful to me according to Your word. I thought about my ways, and turned my feet to Your testimonies. I made haste, and did not delay to keep Your commandments.”

Leader, the writer’s opening statement is bold, indeed. I bless you with echoing these words; I bless you with God being your inheritance, with you partaking of Him – His being as well as His benefits. I bless you with earnestly requesting His favour and mercy to envelop you as you lead those in your care. I bless you with courage to choose to do things according to His book, regardless of the many temptations to cut corners or put yourself first. I bless you with witnessing God’s righteous judgments on your behalf because you honour His wisdom in His word. Make time to refresh yourself in His presence, remember to thank Him, and He will reward you (Ruth 2:12).

Psalm 119:61-64 “The cords of the wicked have bound me, but I have not forgotten Your law. At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You, because of Your righteous judgments. I am a companion of all who fear You, and of those who keep Your precepts. The earth, O Lord, is full of Your mercy; teach me Your statutes.”
