Overcoming anxiety

Proverbs 12:25 “Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, but a good word makes it glad.”

book-1014197__340Leader, sometimes being told not to be anxious is enough to make one anxious – it seems impossible not to worry about something at least some of the time. Yet, one of the most repeated commands in God’s Word is to be anxious for nothing. I bless you with taking God at His word and gaining the victory over anxiety. I bless you with being surrounded by good (cheerful, gracious, kind) words (promises, provision, purpose). I bless you with trusting God and, thereby, being able to root yourself deeply in nurturing soil. I bless you with, while you are aware of heat, not succumbing to it. I bless you with prospering in every aspect of your life, contrary to what might be happening in the socio-economic world around you.

Jeremiah 17:7,8 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.”
