Overcoming insecurity

Judges 6:12,14 “And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, ‘The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valour!’ Then the Lord turned to him and said, ‘Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?’”

I bless you with the authenticity to acknowledge this feeling and its cause – our first impulse is to hide behind a façade of self-assurance, aggravating the tension, instead of confronting it. As you shine the light on your insecurity and fear, I bless you with not only seeing it for what it is, but also with remembering that He who appointed you as a leader, wants you to succeed in the task for which He has called you. I bless you with getting a glimpse of how God sees you. You might not feel like a mighty person of valour, yet God, who sees outside of time, has already witnessed your victory. Be blessed to know that He has sent you, and the help you need, to overcome.

Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
