Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Leader, how many times do we say things in the heat of a moment and then wish we could press the delete button afterwards for all the good that it did? I bless you with the strength of character and discernment to quickly and rightly judge a situation before you respond to anything. May your tender speech act as an antitoxin to the poison spread through anger. I bless you to weigh the intentions of your heart so that you do not use your words to inflict pain. Instead, even in difficult situations, may your words be a tree of life to benefit the spirits of others, even if their souls do not like what you say. I bless you with being known as someone who brings order to chaotic, emotionally charged situations, so that reconciliation and problem-solving can follow.
Proverbs 15:4,18 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit. A wrathful man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger allays contention.
