Step into discernment

1 Kings 3:9 “Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” Ecclesiastes 8:5 “He who keeps his command will experience nothing harmful; and a wise man’s heart discerns both time and judgment.”

Leader,discernment2 guiding people, whether at Brownies or at national level, requires an astute sense of your environment, those in your care and what may hinder or advance their development. I bless you with the ability to clearly discern the road ahead; what those in your sphere of influence can contribute or obstruct; and the right times for acting. I bless you with discerning devious or simply naïve motives a mile away. Protect your discernment by behaving righteously. Exodus 23:8 says “…you shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds the discerning and perverts the words of the righteous”. I bless you with seeing your accurate discernment establishing a culture of excellence, causing you and those whom you lead to remain sincere and blameless before God.

Philippians 1:9,10 “And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ.”
