Authority to bless

Ruth 2:4 “Now behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said to the reapers, “The Lord be with you!” And they answered him, “The Lord bless you!”

Leader, one does not need authority to bless someone else; to wish them well; to pray that the God who loves to give, will shower them with His abundance. However, your position gives you ample opportunity to positively impact the lives of those in your sphere of influence. I bless you with making the most of this opportunity. I bless you with allowing God to show you who of your people needs extra encouragement; with being intentional about using your words to bless those around you; and with using the structure within which you operate to bless others – whether through learning opportunities, self-development or corporate social investment. I bless you with receiving their blessing; that their gratitude for what you are doing and how you treat them will reach the ears of God and He will amplify His involvement in your life even more.

Hebrews 13:16 “And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
