Authority for change

Esther 4:14 “For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

Leader, few authority figures have felt the kind of pressure Queen Esther did. Knowing that while she had the authority to effect change, exercising that authority might cost her life without accomplishing anything. I bless you with rising in your authority and doing what is in your power to do for good, despite the odds. I bless you with not settling for less; with not denying who you are to stay on the (seemingly) safe side. I bless you with courage and conviction to change the status quo for the better, challenging traditions and protocols if you must – it is not inconceivable that you might be the one to change the fate of a nation.

Matthew 8:9 “For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
