Matthew 15:18 “But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man.” Deuteronomy 32:2 “Let my teaching drop as the rain, my speech distill as the dew, as raindrops on the tender herb, and as showers on the grass.”

Leader, I bless you with speech that builds up, gives clear direction and inspires trust. Your speech will mirror what lives in your heart; I bless you with a clean heart, unfettered by bitterness, pride or selfish ambition. May your speech water barren places and cause seeds of potential to grow in those around you. I bless you with gracious speech, with words and intonations that are used wisely. I bless you with the right things to say in every circumstance because it comes from the right place – a heart with pure motives. May your speech be likened to high-quality silver by those around you. I bless you with a heart that is worth much because it sows in righteousness that which brings a good produce.

Colossians 4:6 “Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.” Proverbs 10:20 “The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; the heart of the wicked is worth little.”
