Come clean

Psalm 24:3-5 “Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god. They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Saviour.”

Leader, I bless you with cultivating that which pleases God so that you can grow bold in your relationship with Him and approach Him as a son or daughter instead of an employee or slave. I bless you with the lightness of spirit and conscience that comes from a pure heart: empty of offence, bitterness, hatred, envy, fear, cowardice – anything that keeps you from progressing in relationships. I bless you with clear discernment and wisdom to judge between security that is false and temporary and security that is authentic and everlasting. I bless you with using your hands – and gestures – for good, to build up and not break down, to hand out and not hold back, to show affection and not hurt. I bless you with rising in stature because of the purity of your heart and speech.

Proverbs 22:11 “One who loves a pure heart and who speaks with grace will have the king for a friend.” 1 Timothy 1:5 “The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”
