Gifts of dignity and honour

Leviticus 19:32 “You shall rise before the gray headed and honor the presence of an old man, and fear your God: I am the Lord.”

Leader, I bless you with a renewed appreciation for seemingly forgotten and ‘old-fashioned’ customs. I bless you with getting a glimpse of the price tag God places on dignity and honour. I bless you with not only honouring those older than you, but with being intentional about honouring every person in your sphere of influence, regardless of station in life or age. I bless you with starting by doing something as simple as making eye contact when you greet people. I bless you with connecting with people in a way you have never connected before – not just as warm bodies filling the space around you or as those at your beck and call, but as human beings sharing a divine spark, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). I bless your speech to be a carrier of honour – whether you encourage or admonish. Let your leadership restore and confirm the dignity of those around you. I bless you with enjoying God honouring you (John 5:44).

Romans 12:10 “Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another.”
