Make it count

Proverbs 18:9 “He who is slothful in his work is a brother to him who is a great destroyer.”

Leader, I bless you with an increased capacity to do the work that needs to be done. As we approach the last quarter of this year and energy levels are waning, I bless you with a renewed sense of purpose. I bless you with the right words of encouragement to those around you who might be feeling the strain and whose work and work ethic are slipping. I bless you with wisdom to deal with those who are lazy by nature and who delight to take others with them, causing a snowball effect of missed goals and resentful colleagues. I bless you with remembering your resolve at the beginning of the year or the planning cycle, to make this year count. Lift your eyes from the daily slog for a moment, and be invigorated by the bigger picture. I bless you with an awareness of your heavenly Father rooting for you to do the best with what He has given you.

Colossians 3:23,24 “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance, for you serve the Lord Christ.”
