Matthew 5:37 “But let your ‘yes’ be ‘yes’ and your ‘no’, ‘no’. For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.”
Leader, I bless your communication with those around you – your peers with whom you share decision-making responsibilities as well as your subordinates who look to you for direction. I bless you with wisdom and an enhanced understanding of all the factors internal and external to your environment that might affect the vision and goals of your company (nation, family, task). May you never dither in your decision-making – whether it is to confirm the established direction, set a new course, bring correction or shake the boat. I bless you with playing it straight with those who have been entrusted to you. One of the most debilitating environments is where people do not know where they stand or where their leadership stands on issues affecting their future. Or where their leaders seem to say one thing, but do another; or worse still, say one thing to one group and change the message to another. Confusion and suspicion do not make for good builders. I bless you with God’s clear guidance to stay the course.
