Proverbs 11:27-29 He who earnestly seeks good finds favor, but trouble will come to him who seeks evil. He who trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like foliage. He who troubles his own house will inherit the wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise of heart.
Leader, the word ‘seeks’ here have different meanings. The first includes a time aspect – early in the morning; it implies an effort in seeking what is good, hence ‘earnestly’. I bless you with the same determination to find out what is good and to practice it. I bless you with putting no trust in your wealth – whether financially or personality traits – but rather in the One who can add and take away, and so may you flourish in all you do. I bless you with divine strategies for stewarding your sphere of influence well, with the rewards of your righteousness spilling over to others, and with wisdom to win others to the side of righteousness. Be expectant of your reward while in this life on earth.
Proverbs 11:30-31 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise. If the righteous will be recompensed on the earth, how much more the ungodly and the sinner.
