Proverbs 11:12-13,15 He who is devoid of wisdom despises his neighbour, but a man of understanding holds his peace. A talebearer reveals secrets, but he who is of a faithful spirit conceals a matter. He who is surety for a stranger will suffer, but one who hates being surety is secure.
Leader, the Hebrew says he who is destitute of heart disrespects others. I bless you with a heart that is flush with God’s honour and favour towards people, a heart that appreciates and pursues peace. I bless you with an uncompromisingly faithful spirit to guard another’s trust in you by refusing to be drawn into gossip. I bless you with wise stewardship of your finances as well as the help you offer to others. May you reap all the benefits of what your kindness sows and receive the reward due to the demonstrable righteous.
Proverbs 11:16-18 A gracious woman retains honour, but ruthless men retain riches. The merciful man does good for his own soul, but he who is cruel troubles his own flesh. The wicked man does deceptive work, but he who sows righteousness will have a sure reward.
