Proverbs 10:16-18 The labour of the righteous leads to life, the wages of the wicked to sin. He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, but he who refuses correction goes astray. Whoever hides hatred has lying lips, and whoever spreads slander is a fool.
Leader, I bless you with living in a way that positions you for ‘life’, with all the benefits as inferred by the word as it is used here – being continuously revived, nourished, preserved, recovered, restored, being whole and being merry. I bless you with being open to receive and act on instruction, a signpost on the road to such a life. I bless you with disciplining your lips, with weighing every word before it reaches the air waves. I bless you with your ‘life’ infusing the lives of those around you.
Proverbs 10:19-21 In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is wise. The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; the heart of the wicked is worth little. The lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of wisdom.
