Ezekiel 18:7-9 “He does not oppress anyone, but returns what he took in pledge for a loan. He does not commit robbery but gives his food to the hungry and provides clothing for the naked. He does not lend to them at interest or take a profit from them. He withholds his hand from doing wrong and judges fairly between two parties. He follows my decrees and faithfully keeps my laws. That man is righteous; he will surely live, declares the Sovereign Lord.”
Leader, I bless you with mirroring God’s focus on people and restoring their dignity. I bless you with being concerned about the upliftment of people as opposed to the tyrant’s predilection for self-preservation at the cost of others. I bless you with being generous and fair. I bless you with following God’s dictates regarding others and with enjoying the life – not simply existence – that flows from that. I bless you with enjoying the treasures with which God blesses you in this life, but to have an expectation of lasting treasure in the next life.
