The rat race is for rats

Luke 10:40-42 “But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, ‘Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore, tell her to help me.’ And Jesus answered and said to her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.’”

Leader, I bless you with selecting the best possible place for you to be invigorated, loved and be at peace. I bless you with seeing right through the lie that taking time off is weak and unambitious, or that your absence or refusal to work overtime will cause the planets to misalign and your company/sphere of influence to collapse… I bless you with victory over the need to perform all the time, everywhere. Your value is not determined by performance. I bless you with accepting your worth as a created being carrying the breath of God. In acknowledging that worth, I bless you with being kind to yourself, your health, your spirit. Delegate, extend the deadline, minimise and get yourself into a position where you can sit at the feet of the One who gave His all so that you can have it all. It is a choice that will please Him and that will bless you in more ways you can imagine while you’re toiling to win the rat race.

Mark 6:31 “And He said to them, ‘Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.’ For there were many coming and going, and they did not even have time to eat.”
