Say goodbye to slavery

Exodus 14:5 “Now it was told the king of Egypt that the people had fled, and the heart of Pharaoh and his servants was turned against the people; and they said, ‘why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?’”

Leader, I bless you with a swift and successful escape from whatever the enemy is that have a mind to keep you its servant. It might be economic hardship, it might be a destructive history, manipulative people, immature followers sporting a sense of entitlement, societal prescriptions of what is acceptable. Whatever it is, its intention is to keep you in slavery – visionless, stagnating, unable to reach your potential. I bless you with asking for, hearing and following God’s instructions for leaving that place of slavery – no matter what the odds against you or how strange His instructions might seem (applying an unblemished lamb’s blood to the lintels, feasting while standing, and tracking across the country with millions of fellow slaves carrying the enemy’s riches with them, was not business-as-usual, ask Moses). I bless you with keeping your eyes on the goal and with trusting that the God who gave you the strategy for escape, will also guide you when the enemy tries to win you back. I bless you with God’s provision throughout the journey as you progress to His goal for your life. I bless you with His cloud for cover and guidance during the day and His fire for comfort and protection at night.

Isaiah 50:10 “Who is among you who fears the Lord, who obeys the voice of His Servant, yet who walks in darkness and deep trouble and has no shining splendour. Let him rely on, trust in, and be confident in the name of the Lord, and let him lean upon and be supported by his God.”
